Privacy policy

This policy explains what information the Xing Xing Hair Salon website uses, why, and your rights. It is short because the site collects very little.

Who we are

Xing Xing Hair Salon, Kiosk 10, New Era Square, Sheffield S2 4BF, is responsible for this website. You can contact us by phone or WhatsApp on 07788 458954.

Booking by WhatsApp or phone

When you message us on WhatsApp or call us, we receive your phone number, your name if you give it, and what you tell us about your appointment. We use this only to arrange and manage your booking, because it is needed to provide the appointment you ask for. We do not use it for marketing and we never sell it.

WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp LLC, part of Meta. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.

We keep booking messages only for as long as we need them to arrange your appointments.

The booking form on this website

The booking form does not send your details to us or to any server. It writes a WhatsApp message on your own device, and you decide whether to send it. While your browser tab is open, the message is kept in your browser's session storage so the thank you page can reopen WhatsApp. It is deleted when you close the tab.

Your language choice

When you choose a language, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Google Maps

The interactive Google Map only loads if you press 'Show Google Map'. Google then receives your IP address and may set cookies, and Google's privacy policy applies. The drawn map on our page does not contact Google.

Website statistics

We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies on this website.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us on 07788 458954.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
